Thursday Morning Rain

My first attempt at the Utata "Thursday Morning Walk" was almost foiled by the damnable summer rains. I waited for a few hours hoping the storm would lesson, but it never did, so I eventually decided to brave the elements and see what I could find.
I took a quick jaunt about the neighborhood with an umbrella and my camera safely wrapped up in plastic bags and packaging tape.
I thought this plant caught the general mood of my morning and walk.
